This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Nextdoor. You are providing your information to Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC and its affiliates and not to Facebook or Nextdoor.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to enter or win the Lowe’s® UpSkill Project™ Contest (the “Contest”), entrant must be an individual 18 years of age or older, a legal resident of Idaho residing in one of the eligible ZIP Codes as listed in the below section titled “Eligible ZIP Codes”, and a homeowner OR renter of a property (that has permission from the property owner to make changes based on my selected entry category) at the time of entry and prize distribution. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC (“Lowe’s” or “Sponsor”), GMR Marketing LLC (“GMR” or “Contest Administrator”), and each of their respective agencies, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, representatives, and promotion and other vendor agencies involved in this Contest (collectively the “Released Parties”) and the immediate family (defined for the purposes of this Contest as parents, spouses, siblings, children) and household members of all such employees, are NOT eligible to participate in the Contest and/or win a prize. Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Contest, log on to www.upskillproject.com and complete the Official Online Entry Form including first and last name, address, city, state, zip code, e-mail address, daytime phone number, age, select one (1) of the following entry categories: Décor, Storage and Organization, Kitchen, Bath and Outdoor, submit one (1) video that is between approximately sixty (60) to ninety (90) seconds, shows your face, shows the space you want to refresh, and shows and answers the question, “What project would you like to complete to refresh your home, and what skills do you think it would it take to complete it? What would having those skills mean to you?” in detail, respond to the required questions listed on the Online Entry Form page, confirm age, and accept the Official Rules and Lowe’s Privacy Statement, and click “Submit” (each an “Entry”) between 8:00 a.m. MountainTime (“MT”) on April 2, 2018 and 9:59 p.m. MT on April 16, 2018 (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received by 9:59 p.m. MT on April 16, 2018 to be eligible. Limit one (1) Entry per person/authorized e-mail account holder. Incomplete or mechanically reproduced Entries will be disqualified. Subsequent Entries from the same individual will be disqualified from the Contest and entrant may be barred from participation. Information provided in connection with the Official Online Entry Form will be collected by Sponsors and will only be used by Sponsors and its service providers for the purposes of confirming your eligibility, communications with you about Contest administrative matters or prizes, administering your participation in the Contest, and any related advertising or publicity.

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA FOR ENTRY: Entry must be entrant’s original creation and should not include material that infringes any third person’s copyrights or trademarks (other than those belonging to Lowe’s), has previously been published, or names or identifies any individual other than the entrant. Entry also should not defame or invade the rights or privacy of any person, or otherwise infringe upon any third party’s personal, proprietary or intellectual rights. Entry should be consistent with the Sponsor’s brand reputation in the marketplace and must be suitable for audiences of all ages. Entry should not include or involve any of the following: obscenity, crude, vulgar or offensive language; violence, explicit sexual language; phone numbers, personal addresses (physical or email or otherwise); website or web page links or links to apps; derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups or content that would humiliate other people (publicly or otherwise), any assault or threatening of others. Entries containing any of the foregoing content or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, or containing any other content, display, materials and/or images that are or could be considered objectionable or infringing, inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, may be disqualified.

JUDGING AND SELECTION OF GRAND PRIZE WINNERS: This is not a game of chance. All Entries will be judged on a 100 point scale by the Contest Administrator. Entries will be evaluated, and up to 100 points awarded, using the following criteria:

  1. A maximum of 50 points for excitement and passion shown towards learning new skills to refresh your home.
  2. A maximum of 30 points for providing a clear and creative description of the skills that will be needed to complete the home refresh.
  3. A maximum of 20 points for providing a clear and creative description of why your home needs to be refreshed.

The top five (5) eligible Entries with the highest scores will be designated as potential Grand Prize winners. In the event of a tie, the Entry with the highest total in the excitement and passion shown will be deemed a potential Grand Prize winner. If the Entries still remain tied, a qualified judge from Lowe’s will select the entry they feel best represents the overall themes of the Contest.

Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than five (5) Grand Prize winners if it does not receive a sufficient number of quality, eligible entries.

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”):

FIVE (5) GRAND PRIZES: Includes instruction by a designated Lowe’s representative to help accomplish one (1) desired refresh project, including but not limited to, painting (walls or fireplaces), updating light fixtures, changing cabinet hardware, replacing sink faucets, backsplash tiling, putting together furniture, hanging décor, basic décor, storage, organization, small construction projects, building shelves, landscaping of flower beds, plants and shrubs, installing outdoor lighting, enhancing curb appeal, replacing vanity, and replacing shower heads; a $2,000 Lowe’s Gift Card; one (1) payment of $1,030.30 cash (awarded in the form of a corporate check) intended to help off-set tax expenses. The project refresh will NOT include the use of certified plumbing or certified electrical work, updating and/or painting counter tops, the removal or addition of walls, cabinets, or appliances, re-tiling showers, or any other projects as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Grand Prize winner is responsible for the execution and completion of the project. ALL PORTIONS OF THE PRIZE ARE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR. THE DESIGN WILL BE SUBJECT AT ALL TIMES TO LOWE’S APPROVAL AS SET FORTH BELOW IN THE “LOWE’S APPROVAL” SECTION. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Grand Prize is $3,030.30.

Total ARV of all Grand Prizes to be awarded is $15,151.50

LOWE’S APPROVAL: LOWE’S SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REVIEW AND APPROVE EACH AND EVERY DESIGN-RELATED DECISION FOR THE HOME REFRESH INCLUDED IN THE GRAND PRIZE. GRAND PRIZE WINNER WILL WORK WITH A REPRESENTATIVE FROM LOWE’S ON THE DESIGN BUT BEFORE ANY FINAL DECISION (GENERAL AND SPECIFIC) MAY BE MADE, LOWE’S WILL HAVE THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION, TO APPROVE OR REJECT ANY SUCH PROPOSED DESIGN DECISION. IF LOWE’S REJECTS A PROPOSED DESIGN, THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER MUST PROMPTLY WORK WITH THE LOWE’S REPRESENTATIVE TO DEVELOP A NEW OR MODIFIED PROPOSED DESIGN TO PRESENT TO LOWE’S, WHICH WILL INCORPORATE ANY AND ALL INPUT PROVIDED BY LOWE’S. EACH SUCH NEW OR MODIFIED PROPOSED DESIGN DECISION WILL BE SUBJECT TO LOWE’S REVIEW AND APPROVAL RIGHTS UNTIL LOWE’S APPROVAL IS OBTAINED. IF A DESIGN IS NOT APPROVED BY LOWE’S BY JUNE 10, 2018. THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER’S ELIGIBILITY AND ALL PORTIONS OF THE GRAND PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED IN THEIR ENTIRETY, THE ENTRY WITH THE NEXT HIGHEST SCOREWILL BE DEEMED THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER, AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION.

Grand Prize winner is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits in connection with the Contest, if required. GMR will reimburse winner for cost of permit and provide payment to help off-set additional tax expenses, if Grand Prize winner provides proof of necessary permit purchase, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Grand Prize winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local income taxes and other taxes associated with the Prize (including any increase in property taxes that may be incurred as a result of awarding the Prize). Lowe’s will comply with all tax reporting requirements. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution is allowed except in Lowe’s sole discretion. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will determine if a replacement will be provided for any prize that is lost, mutilated or stolen. Lowe’s reserves the right to substitute Prize of the same approximate retail value. Prize consists only of items specifically listed as part of the Prize. Certain conditions and restrictions apply. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to any Prize, and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION:

Home Scope Confirmation: The potential Grand Prize winner must schedule and complete a project scope at their home with a Lowe’s representative (the “Home Scope Confirmation”) between, April 29, 2018 – May 6, 2018, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Home Scope Confirmation Deadline”). If the Home Scope Confirmation does not occur on or before the Home Scope Confirmation Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, then (i) then the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

Initial Design Meeting: The potential Grand Prize winner must then schedule and attend a preliminary design meeting with Lowe’s Service Provider (the “Initial Design Meeting”) between, May 13, 2018 – May 20, 2018 or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Initial Design Meeting Deadline”). If the Initial Design Meeting does not occur on or before the Initial Design Meeting Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

Home Visit: The potential Grand Prize winner must schedule and complete a meeting at their home with a Lowe’s representative (the “Home Visit”) between, June 27, 2018 – July 12, 2018, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Home Visit Deadline”). If the Home Visit does not occur on or before the Home Visit Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

Lowe’s Visit: The potential Grand Prize winner must schedule and complete a visit to a Lowe’s location with a Lowe’s representative (the “Lowe’s Visit”) preferably be scheduled on the same day as the home visit, but must be completed within three (3) calendar day following the date of the Home Visit, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Lowe’s Visit Deadline”). If the Lowe’s Visit does not occur on or before the Lowe’s Visit Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s representative to pick out products and materials for the Grand Prize eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner,

Project Execution: The potential Grand Prize winner must then schedule time to be available to complete the Grand Prize refresh project (the “Project Execution”) before July 20, 2018, or on dates as determined by the Sponsor, (the “Project Execution Deadline”). If the Project Execution does not occur on or before the Project Execution Deadline, or on other dates as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Community Project: The potential Grand Prize winner has the option to participate in a Lowe’s led community project for up to one day, on or about July 21, 2018, held within the Boise, Idaho area. Community Project specific time, date and location are to be determined and will be provided by Lowe’s.

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of Grand Prize by a potential Grand Prize winner constitutes the Grand Prize winner’s consent that their name, likeness, voice and/or biographical data may be used for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation and shall be deemed a waiver of all rights of privacy without limitation and without additional notice, compensation or consent.

PUBLICITY RELEASE: Each entrant grants to Sponsor the right to the use of entrant’s name, picture, likeness, voice, video, biographical information and statements, at any time or times, for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval and without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

GRANT OF RIGHTS: By entering, entrants grant to Sponsor a royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable right to exploit the content of his/her Entry in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity for editorial, educational, promotional, publicity, advertising or any other purpose on behalf of Sponsor or its affiliates, respective licensees and assigns, partners or media without further compensation and applicant explicitly acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor reserves the right to publish any or all content of Entry, with or without first and last name credit to the applicant; and Entries that attempt to restrict this right will not be considered. Additionally, Grand Prize winner agrees that Sponsor will be the sole and exclusive owner of all rights, title and interest in all ideas, concepts, expressions, information, material and works of authorship prepared in connection with Grand Prize winner responsibilities, whether conceived or made by Grand Prize winner alone or in conjunction with or at the direction of Sponsor. Grand Prize winner hereby irrevocably assign to Sponsor, its successors and assigns, any and all rights, title and interest that Grand Prize winner may have in any of the materials prepared in connection with Grand Prize winner responsibilities, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trade secrets, patents, trademarks, rights of publicity and other intellectual property rights, whether now known or hereafter to become known, for the respective maximum terms of protection available throughout the world. Grand Prize winner shall execute at Sponsor’s request such assignments and other documents as may be necessary to confirm or enact this assignment or any grant of rights set forth herein.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER PERSONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT: As a condition of award of any portion of the Grand Prize, potential Grand Prize winners will be required to execute a Personal Services Agreement (the “Personal Services Agreement”) with the Sponsor or the potential eligibility and all portions of the Grand Prize will be forfeited in their entirety, and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Personal Services Agreement will set forth the responsibilities. The Personal Services Agreement shall require, among other things, (1) that the Grand Prize winner permits the use of their name, likeness or identifying information for promotional, publicity or advertising purposes in any media including print and online media, without time or geographic limitations, (2) that the Grand Prize winner will respond to survey questions as required by the Sponsor, and (3) that the Sponsor has the right to but not the obligation to use photographs of the home for future advertising.

PARTICIPATION AWARD: The first one hundred and twenty-five (125) entrants to submit an entry, and who do not win one (1) of the Grand Prizes will receive a Participation Award of one (1) promotional coupon for $10 off of $50 or more purchase for use at a designated participating Lowe’s store. Limit one (1) Participation Award per person/authorized e-mail account holder during the Sweepstakes for the first one-hundred twenty-five entrants. The Participation Awards will be e-mailed to the e-mail address each eligible entrant provides on the Official Online Entry Form on or about May 14, 2018, and are subject to Lowe’s standard coupon terms and conditions. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected Participation Awards. Non-transferable. No substitutions. Taxes are solely the responsibility of the entrant. Failure to enter a valid e-mail address or return of any Participation Award as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of the Participation Award.

ONLINE REGISTRATION: If for any reason the Contest, including the online portion, is not capable of running as planned, including disruptions caused by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause that corrupts, affects or compromises the administration, security, fairness, integrity, proper conduct or intended play of the Contest, the Sponsor reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual that the Sponsor or GMR deems responsible and the Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, and may determine an alternate method of prize award selection. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent or affiliates assume any responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, including any erroneous appearance of qualification for, or winning of, a prize. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent or affiliates are responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor due to technical problem or traffic, congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST MAY CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THAT PROVISION. Contest entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means are ineligible and will be disqualified. All entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. The “Authorized Account Holder” is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

ADDITIONAL RULES, RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By submitting an entry, entrant agrees to accept and be bound by these Official Rules and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Contest, rule interpretation, selection of Grand Prize winner or awarding of Prize, shall be resolved by Sponsor or GMR, whose decisions shall be binding and final. By entering, entrant agrees to be notified by e-mail, phone, or express mail by Sponsor, its parent or affiliates or GMR for the purposes of the administration of this Contest. By participating, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, GMR, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service agencies, independent contractors, and the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of any of the above organizations from liability of any kind or nature for any injury, loss or damage to person, including death or property damage or infringement of any right (intellectual property, publicity, privacy or otherwise) due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly to the acceptance, receipt, use, or misuse of a prize, participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent or affiliates are responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of this offer, administration of the Contest or in the announcement of prizes, including such error as may give an erroneous indication that a prize has been won. In the event the Sponsor is prevented from continuing with this Contest or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Contest is undermined by any event including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state or local government law, order or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event), Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Contest without notice or further obligation. If Sponsor, in its discretion, elects to abbreviate the Contest as a result of a Force Majeure event, Sponsor reserves the right, but shall have no obligation, to award the Prize from among all valid and eligible entries received up to the time of such Force Majeure event. All entries are the property of the Sponsor and are not returnable.

Information provided in connection with the Official Online Entry Form will be collected by Sponsors and will only be used by Sponsors and its service providers for the purposes of confirming your eligibility, communications with you about Contest administrative matters or prizes, administering your participation in the Contest, and any related advertising or publicity.

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA FOR ENTRY: Entry must be entrant’s original creation and should not include material that infringes any third person’s copyrights or trademarks (other than those belonging to Lowe’s), has previously been published, or names or identifies any individual other than the entrant. Entry also should not defame or invade the rights or privacy of any person, or otherwise infringe upon any third party’s personal, proprietary or intellectual rights. Entry should be consistent with the Sponsor’s brand reputation in the marketplace and must be suitable for audiences of all ages. Entry should not include or involve any of the following: obscenity, crude, vulgar or offensive language; violence, explicit sexual language; phone numbers, personal addresses (physical or email or otherwise); website or web page links or links to apps; derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups or content that would humiliate other people (publicly or otherwise), any assault or threatening of others. Entries containing any of the foregoing content or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, or containing any other content, display, materials and/or images that are or could be considered objectionable or infringing, inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, may be disqualified.

JUDGING AND SELECTION OF GRAND PRIZE WINNERS: This is not a game of chance. All Entries will be judged on a 100 point scale by the Contest Administrator. Entries will be evaluated, and up to 100 points awarded, using the following criteria:

  1. A maximum of 50 points for excitement and passion shown towards learning new skills to refresh your home.
  2. A maximum of 30 points for providing a clear and creative description of the skills that will be needed to complete the home refresh.
  3. A maximum of 20 points for providing a clear and creative description of why your home needs to be refreshed.

The top five (5) eligible Entries with the highest scores will be designated as potential Grand Prize winners. In the event of a tie, the Entry with the highest total in the excitement and passion shown will be deemed a potential Grand Prize winner. If the Entries still remain tied, a qualified judge from Lowe’s will select the entry they feel best represents the overall themes of the Contest.

Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than five (5) Grand Prize winners if it does not receive a sufficient number of quality, eligible entries.

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”):

FIVE (5) GRAND PRIZES: Includes instruction by a designated Lowe’s representative to help accomplish one (1) desired refresh project, including but not limited to, painting (walls or fireplaces), updating light fixtures, changing cabinet hardware, replacing sink faucets, backsplash tiling, putting together furniture, hanging décor, basic décor, storage, organization, small construction projects, building shelves, landscaping of flower beds, plants and shrubs, installing outdoor lighting, enhancing curb appeal, replacing vanity, and replacing shower heads; a $2,000 Lowe’s Gift Card; one (1) payment of $1,030.30 cash (awarded in the form of a corporate check) intended to help off-set tax expenses. The project refresh will NOT include the use of certified plumbing or certified electrical work, updating and/or painting counter tops, the removal or addition of walls, cabinets, or appliances, re-tiling showers, or any other projects as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Grand Prize winner is responsible for the execution and completion of the project. ALL PORTIONS OF THE PRIZE ARE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR. THE DESIGN WILL BE SUBJECT AT ALL TIMES TO LOWE’S APPROVAL AS SET FORTH BELOW IN THE “LOWE’S APPROVAL” SECTION. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Grand Prize is $3,030.30.

Total ARV of all Grand Prizes to be awarded is $15,151.50

LOWE’S APPROVAL: LOWE’S SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REVIEW AND APPROVE EACH AND EVERY DESIGN-RELATED DECISION FOR THE HOME REFRESH INCLUDED IN THE GRAND PRIZE. GRAND PRIZE WINNER WILL WORK WITH A REPRESENTATIVE FROM LOWE’S ON THE DESIGN BUT BEFORE ANY FINAL DECISION (GENERAL AND SPECIFIC) MAY BE MADE, LOWE’S WILL HAVE THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION, TO APPROVE OR REJECT ANY SUCH PROPOSED DESIGN DECISION. IF LOWE’S REJECTS A PROPOSED DESIGN, THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER MUST PROMPTLY WORK WITH THE LOWE’S REPRESENTATIVE TO DEVELOP A NEW OR MODIFIED PROPOSED DESIGN TO PRESENT TO LOWE’S, WHICH WILL INCORPORATE ANY AND ALL INPUT PROVIDED BY LOWE’S. EACH SUCH NEW OR MODIFIED PROPOSED DESIGN DECISION WILL BE SUBJECT TO LOWE’S REVIEW AND APPROVAL RIGHTS UNTIL LOWE’S APPROVAL IS OBTAINED. IF A DESIGN IS NOT APPROVED BY LOWE’S BY JUNE 10, 2018. THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER’S ELIGIBILITY AND ALL PORTIONS OF THE GRAND PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED IN THEIR ENTIRETY, THE ENTRY WITH THE NEXT HIGHEST SCOREWILL BE DEEMED THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER, AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION.

Grand Prize winner is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits in connection with the Contest, if required. GMR will reimburse winner for cost of permit and provide payment to help off-set additional tax expenses, if Grand Prize winner provides proof of necessary permit purchase, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Grand Prize winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local income taxes and other taxes associated with the Prize (including any increase in property taxes that may be incurred as a result of awarding the Prize). Lowe’s will comply with all tax reporting requirements. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution is allowed except in Lowe’s sole discretion. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will determine if a replacement will be provided for any prize that is lost, mutilated or stolen. Lowe’s reserves the right to substitute Prize of the same approximate retail value. Prize consists only of items specifically listed as part of the Prize. Certain conditions and restrictions apply. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to any Prize, and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION: The potential Grand Prize winners will be notified by phone, e-mail, or express mail to the daytime phone number/e-mail address/address indicated on the Entry Form on or about April 19, 2018. Within five (5) calendar days following the date notification is received by potential Grand Prize winner (the “Eligibility Deadline”), the potential Grand Prize winner must complete, sign and return the following as instructed: (i) an Affidavit of Eligibility, (ii) a Grant of Rights and Publicity Release, (iii) a Liability Release, (iv) authorization for a criminal background check (vii), a written record of home ownership or obtain written record of property ownership and written approval from the property owner authorizing refreshing of a room in the residence, including all necessary permits in connection with the Contest(viii) a Personal Services Agreement and the required tax documents and (ix) any other documents as required by the Sponsor (collectively, “Eligibility Documentation”).If such Eligibility Documentation is not returned on or before the Eligibility Deadline, then the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed a potential Grand Prize winner, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The potential Grand Prize winner may be subject to a criminal background check. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify the potential Grand Prize winner for any of the following reasons: (a) non-compliance with these Official Rules; (b) in the event that a notification is returned as undeliverable; or (c) in the event that a potential Grand Prize winner is not a homeowner OR renter of a property (that has permission from the property owner to make changes based on my selected entry category) at time of Entry. In addition, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the potential Grand Prize winner based on the results of the criminal background check. Failure to complete the Documents as required will result in potential Grand Prize winner disqualification, and selection of an alternate potential Grand Prize winner based on the next highest point total.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER CONDITIONS:

Home Scope Confirmation: The potential Grand Prize winner must schedule and complete a project scope at their home with a Lowe’s representative (the “Home Scope Confirmation”) between, April 29, 2018 – May 6, 2018, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Home Scope Confirmation Deadline”). If the Home Scope Confirmation does not occur on or before the Home Scope Confirmation Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, then (i) then the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

Initial Design Meeting: The potential Grand Prize winner must then schedule and attend a preliminary design meeting with Lowe’s Service Provider (the “Initial Design Meeting”) between, May 13, 2018 – May 20, 2018, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Initial Design Meeting Deadline”). If the Initial Design Meeting does not occur on or before the Initial Design Meeting Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

Home Visit: The potential Grand Prize winner must schedule and complete a meeting at their home with a Lowe’s representative (the “Home Visit”) between, June 27, 2018 – July 12, 2018, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Home Visit Deadline”). If the Home Visit does not occur on or before the Home Visit Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

Lowe’s Visit: The potential Grand Prize winner must schedule and complete a visit to a Lowe’s location with a Lowe’s representative (the “Lowe’s Visit”) preferably be scheduled on the same day as the home visit, but must be completed within three (3) calendar day following the date of the Home Visit, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor (the “Lowe’s Visit Deadline”). If the Lowe’s Visit does not occur on or before the Lowe’s Visit Deadline, or on another date as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s representative to pick out products and materials for the Grand Prize eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner,

Project Execution: The potential Grand Prize winner must then schedule time to be available to complete the Grand Prize refresh project (the “Project Execution”) before July 20, 2018, or on dates as determined by the Sponsor, (the “Project Execution Deadline”). If the Project Execution does not occur on or before the Project Execution Deadline, or on other dates as determined by the Sponsor, then (i) the potential Grand Prize winner’s eligibility will be forfeited in its entirety and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Community Project: The potential Grand Prize winner has the option to participate in a Lowe’s led community project for up to one day, on or about July 21, 2018, held within the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Community Project specific time, date and location are to be determined and will be provided by Lowe’s.

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of Grand Prize by a potential Grand Prize winner constitutes the Grand Prize winner’s consent that their name, likeness, voice and/or biographical data may be used for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation and shall be deemed a waiver of all rights of privacy without limitation and without additional notice, compensation or consent.

PUBLICITY RELEASE: Each entrant grants to Sponsor the right to the use of entrant’s name, picture, likeness, voice, video, biographical information and statements, at any time or times, for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet and World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval and without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

GRANT OF RIGHTS: By entering, entrants grant to Sponsor a royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable right to exploit the content of his/her Entry in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity for editorial, educational, promotional, publicity, advertising or any other purpose on behalf of Sponsor or its affiliates, respective licensees and assigns, partners or media without further compensation and applicant explicitly acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor reserves the right to publish any or all content of Entry, with or without first and last name credit to the applicant; and Entries that attempt to restrict this right will not be considered. Additionally, Grand Prize winner agrees that Sponsor will be the sole and exclusive owner of all rights, title and interest in all ideas, concepts, expressions, information, material and works of authorship prepared in connection with Grand Prize winner responsibilities, whether conceived or made by Grand Prize winner alone or in conjunction with or at the direction of Sponsor. Grand Prize winner hereby irrevocably assign to Sponsor, its successors and assigns, any and all rights, title and interest that Grand Prize winner may have in any of the materials prepared in connection with Grand Prize winner responsibilities, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trade secrets, patents, trademarks, rights of publicity and other intellectual property rights, whether now known or hereafter to become known, for the respective maximum terms of protection available throughout the world. Grand Prize winner shall execute at Sponsor’s request such assignments and other documents as may be necessary to confirm or enact this assignment or any grant of rights set forth herein.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER PERSONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT: As a condition of award of any portion of the Grand Prize, potential Grand Prize winners will be required to execute a Personal Services Agreement (the “Personal Services Agreement”) with the Sponsor or the potential eligibility and all portions of the Grand Prize will be forfeited in their entirety, and the Entry with the next highest score will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Personal Services Agreement will set forth the responsibilities. The Personal Services Agreement shall require, among other things, (1) that the Grand Prize winner permits the use of their name, likeness or identifying information for promotional, publicity or advertising purposes in any media including print and online media, without time or geographic limitations, (2) that the Grand Prize winner will respond to survey questions as required by the Sponsor, and (3) that the Sponsor has the right to but not the obligation to use photographs of the home for future advertising.

PARTICIPATION AWARD: The first one hundred and twenty-five (125) entrants to submit an entry, and who do not win one (1) of the Grand Prizes will receive a Participation Award of one (1) promotional coupon for $10 off of $50 or more purchase for use at a designated participating Lowe’s store. Limit one (1) Participation Award per person/authorized e-mail account holder during the Sweepstakes for the first one-hundred twenty-five entrants. The Participation Awards will be e-mailed to the e-mail address each eligible entrant provides on the Official Online Entry Form on or about May 14, 2018, and are subject to Lowe’s standard coupon terms and conditions. ONLINE REGISTRATION: If for any reason the Contest, including the online portion, is not capable of running as planned, including disruptions caused by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause that corrupts, affects or compromises the administration, security, fairness, integrity, proper conduct or intended play of the Contest, the Sponsor reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual that the Sponsor or GMR deems responsible and the Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, and may determine an alternate method of prize award selection. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent or affiliates assume any responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, including any erroneous appearance of qualification for, or winning of, a prize. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent or affiliates are responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor due to technical problem or traffic, congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST MAY CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SPONSOR FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THAT PROVISION. Contest entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means are ineligible and will be disqualified. All entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. The “Authorized Account Holder” is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

ADDITIONAL RULES, RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By submitting an entry, entrant agrees to accept and be bound by these Official Rules and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Contest, rule interpretation, selection of Grand Prize winner or awarding of Prize, shall be resolved by Sponsor or GMR, whose decisions shall be binding and final. By entering, entrant agrees to be notified by e-mail, phone, or express mail by Sponsor, its parent or affiliates or GMR for the purposes of the administration of this Contest. By participating, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, GMR, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service agencies, independent contractors, and the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of any of the above organizations from liability of any kind or nature for any injury, loss or damage to person, including death or property damage or infringement of any right (intellectual property, publicity, privacy or otherwise) due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly to the acceptance, receipt, use, or misuse of a prize, participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent or affiliates are responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of this offer, administration of the Contest or in the announcement of prizes, including such error as may give an erroneous indication that a prize has been won. In the event the Sponsor is prevented from continuing with this Contest or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Contest is undermined by any event including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state or local government law, order or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event), Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Contest without notice or further obligation. If Sponsor, in its discretion, elects to abbreviate the Contest as a result of a Force Majeure event, Sponsor reserves the right, but shall have no obligation, to award the Prize from among all valid and eligible entries received up to the time of such Force Majeure event. All entries are the property of the Sponsor and are not returnable.
